KARIMUNJAWA located north of Semarang and Jepara. To get to this place, you can depart from the Port of Tanjung Golden Kartini I Semarang by boat (fast boat) every Saturday at 9 am and return Sunday afternoon. 2-3 hours long crossings.

However, if you choose to depart from the Port of Kartini, Jepara could with Moriah Ship departing every other day with a long economic ship crossing takes about 6 hours.

Karimunjawa is home to coral reefs, mangroves, coastal forests, as well as 400 species of marine fauna and several sea eagles and white chest, hawksbill and green turtles. National Park there is also a plant Karimunjawa dewadaru (Crystocalyx macrophyla).

Interestingly, the waves in Karimunjawa is low and tame, bounded by the coast are mostly fine white sand beaches. This is one of the reasons people want to vacation Karimunjawa.

He has a beautiful underwater gardens and I am happy with the environment in karimunjawa still beautiful and has not been touched by many people, not like Bali which have been very busy and crowded. Thus, he is still regarded as worthy of ‘virgin’. The sea is still very clean, and the environment is very far from the bustle of development. Karimunjawa many communities rely on the livelihoods as fishermen.

For me, Karimun is a ‘hidden pearls’ Java. Just need a little polish so it will gleam, polish it is the development of infrastructure and good marketing. I would be very happy if karimunjawa could ultimately become one of the leading Indonesian tourism.

Our meeting point is in Terminal Rawamangun, and right at about 20:30 pm we depart from Terminal to the Port Rawamangun in Jepara Kartini. Total travel time between Port and Rawamangun Kartini is approximately 11 hours! indeed tiring and quite make the buttocks become numb, but with the beauty tours offered karimunjawa later, I have always believed that it was worth a gamble. From Port Kartini, then we crossed by ferry to karimunjawa for approximately 8 hours. Actually there is another pedestrian transportation modes that are faster, the speed boat from the port of Semarang, if climbing fast boat would only take between 2-3 hours.
