Built in the Ming Dynasty, Shibaozhai consists of a gate, pavilions and temples. At the gate, you will see some relief. Entrance into the gate, you will find 184 foot-high wooden pavilion with 12 levels.

It is said, the wooden pavilion is the highest type of ancient architecture in China and regarded as one of eight examples of fantastic architecture in the world. Originally the pavilion was only nine levels and then in 1956 added three more. This pavilion also has a spiral staircase to reach the top of the temple.
