TEMPLE was originally built in June 1869 on the orders of Emperor Meiji to commemorate the victims of Boshin War. First, Yasakuni Shokonsha named Tokyo, and renamed Yasukuni Jinja in 1879. Yasukuni is a Shinto shrine that is sacred in the city of Tokyo. Our temple houses (spirit) to leave all the history for the life of Japanese soldiers and its colonies (Korea and Taiwan) in the Meiji period, World War II.
Yasukuni Shrine Complex occupies an area of ??6.25 hectares. Three major shrine torii gates are equipped with steel, bronze and cypress wood. To the inside there is a war museum (Yushukan). Inside the museum itself are some interesting artifacts including armor, samurai, military uniforms, tanks, guns, artillery, pieces of kamikaze planes and a series of photographs of war.
